The diagnosis of Lymphoma cancer is performed when the patient noticed the signs and symptoms of the cancer. The complete introduction of lymphoma cancer is on hand at this page; what is lymphoma cancer?

Normally the diagnosis of Lymphoma cancer begins with the physical exams. It may happen that the doctor pinpoints the cause of Lymphoma cancer during this examination.

Physical Examination:

In this examination, a doctor tries to check the symptoms of lymphoma, swelling and a lump. Following areas are examined in this test such as spleen, lymph nodes, neck , armpit or groin. The physician may ask about the patient’s medical history, previous illness, infections etc.

Blood Tests:

The purpose of blood test is to find out the presence of cancerous cells and cancer related enzymes in the blood. The high level of LDH , lactate dehydrogenase usually resulted due to increase in the lymphocytes may push the doctor to perform other test of cancer. The doctor may come to know the extent of cancerous cells growth via these tests.

Imaging Tests

Here are these:

X-rays:

This test is used to determine the detail of Lymph nodes associated with the cancerous growth .

CT (computed tomography) scan:

The detailed pictures of inside body are taken with the help of a machine linked with a computer. This scanning process assists the doctor in the determination of exact location and extent of lymphoma cancer.

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans:

Through a strong magnetic field (that is created with the attachment of strong magnet to computer) the cross-sectional pictures of lymph nodes and blood vessels are taken.

Lymphangiogram:

In this test, a special dye is injected into the body of patient and afterwards the lymph nodes and vessels show up on an x-ray.

Biopsy:

A biopsy is the most important test of lymphoma and it helps the doctors to distinguish between cancerous and non- cancerous cells. It involves removal and evaluation of a small amount of tissue from the suspected cancerous area. Three types of biopsy are :

Fine needle aspiration (FNA)

Large needle or Core biopsy

Surgical biopsy

There are various causes of lymphoma cancer and the causes of lymphoma cancer are directly related to the lymphoma cancer symptoms that are exhibited by the person suffering from the disease. There are also different types of lymphoma cancer and you should know the symptoms as they can also shed light on the causes of lymphoma cancer. The person who is suffering from various kinds of immune compromised diseases are those who are at a greater risk of being affected by this disease.

One of the common causes of lymphoma cancer is the abnormal growth of the lymphoid tissue cells in the body. One should realize that the lymphatic system is one that actually transports the lymphatic fluid from one part of the body to another and when the tissues related to this system have abnormal growth that cannot be controlled by the body, then it can be considered to be one of the major causes of Lymphoma cancer.

Mutation of the genes in the body can also be one of the causes of Lymphoma cancer. The genes in the body do not mutate under normal condition, but they can do so when the immune system of the person is not functioning properly. This makes the immune compromised status of the individual to be another of the causes of Lymphoma cancer.

There are many conditions where the person may be affected where the immune system is compromised. In these situations, the lymphoma cancer can occur. The diseases that can cause the immune compromised status are human immuno deficiency virus infection that can cause AIDS. There are many other viruses like the Epstein Barr virus that has also been associated with the Lymphoma cancer.

As mentioned earlier, the gene mutation can be one of the causes of Lymphoma cancer. In these cases, the mutation of the gene can occur because of family history of breaking up of the genes in the person. This makes one to understand that family history plays a major role in the occurrence of Lymphoma cancer and so the history of family members suffering from this disease can be one of the many causes of Lymphoma cancer.

There are also some other major causes of Lymphoma cancer. The one that commonly comes to mind when one thinks of the question what is Lymphoma cancer and the causes related to it, is the free radicals that form in the human body because of the presence of carcinogens in the body. There are times when the cancer causing substances are consumed as part of the food. These carcinogens can help in the formation of free radicals that cause damage to the cells of the body and can be one of the main causes of Lymphoma cancer.

Any person who is suffering from some kind of virus infection may develop Lymphoma cancer symptoms. The viral infection because of any kind of virus that wreaks havoc with the immune system can be considered to be the primary causes of Lymphoma cancer.

Lymphoma is a cancer of lymphocytes that are immune system cells. In the situation of lymphoma the cancerous cells are prevailed in the white blood cells so it retards the normal function and growth of normal blood cells. Lymphoma cancer is an uncontrollable state of lymphocytes when the production and multiplication of normal cells are increase and only increase due to some infection in the lymphocytes.

What is lymphoma cancer? The answer to this question is related to the complete understanding of Lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are the white blood cells that are reside in the spongy bone marrow of the tougher and harder bone. The lymphocytes are move around the human body via vessel that form the network named as lymphatic system. The immune system of human body is totally and mainly depends on lymphatic system’s proper functioning. The main purpose or ultimate function of lymphatic system is to protect the human body from anything that may cause infection. The composition of lymphatic system includes lymph nodes that become larger and tenderize in the presence of some micro-organism.

The physician divides the lymphoma cancers into two distinct groups; the name of first group is Hodgkin’s lymphoma while other group is denoted as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  All the 30 types of lymphoma cancer are falling under the head of these two groups.

Lymphoma cancer affect the body immune system so it means the patient of lymphoma loses the normal ability of fighting against disease and sickness. The abnormal cancerous cells begin to increase in number and the growth of these abnormal cells begins out of control. The more production of abnormal cells needs immediate treatment of lymphoma other wise the condition of lymphoma’s patient becomes very complicated and severe that’s why an early diagnosis of lymphoma cancer make it possible to treat the cancer adequately.
